Opoplan provides a number of House Plan Doctor services to help you improve your current house’s layout or to make a house plan you are thinking of building better. Let us review your current house’s layout or the design plan of your new house to make it work and flow better, improve livability, connection to the outside, view, sunlight or ageing in place.
These services are provided on a consultancy basis by our registered architect Brian O Brien under the following Terms and Limitations- House Plan Doctor by Opoplan.
Improve My House
We will review your current house’s layout to find easy ways to make it work and flow better, improve liveability, connection to the outside, view, ageing in place and more.
You send us the layouts / plans (see below) in advance, take our survey to find out what kind of design you’d ideally like (or just email us). Then we study it and sketch out the changes we think would get it closer to being what you want. You can book an online meeting to go through it in detail or request we spend more design time on it to develop it from sketches to plans if you’d like.
If you don’t have the plans, you could sketch out the positions of walls, floors windows on squared paper and photo/scan them back to us along with some photos.

Improve My Plans
Wherever you’ve sourced your new house plan from, we may be able to help suggest easy changes to make it work better for your lifestyle, your lot (site) or your budget. You send us the plans and a geo location pin, take our survey to find out what kind of design you’d ideally like (or just email us) and we’ll study it and then sketch out the changes we think would get it closer to being what you want.
